Cross of Iron

Out early to tackle the steep rough climb to the Cruz de Ferro, one of the most notable icons of the Camino. For a "The Way" reference, you will recall that Martin Sheen was given a stone to carry and told that when the time came he would know what to do with it. This is where he left it. 

Pilgrims leave tokens of love or blessing at the base of this simple iron cross fixed to the top of a weathered pole. We brought shells from our favorite beach in San Carlos to leave in thanks for our

many blessings and to ask for continued blessings for our family and friends.
